US $320 Million! AstraZeneca Will Acquire Neogene Therapeutics

       On November 29th, AstraZeneca PLC (hereinafter referred to as "AstraZeneca")  announced that it would acquire all the issued shares of Neogene Therapeutics (hereinafter referred to as "Neogene") for a total of US $320 million in order to strengthen its oncology pipeline. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2023. After completion, Neogene will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of AstraZeneca, with operations in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and California, the USA.

According to relevant data,Neogene Therapeuticsis a Dutch immune cell therapy developer, dedicated to developing a new generation of individualized and engineered T cell therapy (TCR-Ts) for various cancers. The core technology platform of the company is the discovery of new antigen T cell receptor (TCR) and T cell engineering platform, which can be used to determine TCR genes specific to new antigens.
