According to foreign media reports, Meta (formerly Facebook) discussed the idea of opening physical retail stores around the world at the company meeting to showcase Meta’s VR headsets and AR glasses.

       The purpose of creating these retail stores is to make the world "more open and connected." In addition, they can also stimulate emotions such as "curiosity and intimacy", as well as a feeling of "welcome" when experiencing VR / AR devices. These devices will be the gateway to the metaverse, creating a virtual world where people can work, play, study and connect with their friends and family.

      According to informed sources, discussions on physical retail stores began several months before Facebook’s name change, and preparations began as early as last year. These people familiar with the matter also pointed out that the project is still under development and may not continue. If the plan continues, this will be Meta’s first physical store, although the opening date of these stores has not yet been determined.
