Grand Release of "2018 Peking University China Brand Value Summit Forum" and “The First China Brand Value Top 100”

On the morning of January 14,2018 (Sunday), "2018 Peking University China Brand Value Summit Forum" and “The First China Brand Value Top 100”hosted by School of Economics of Peking University and the Market Economy Research Center of Peking University was successfully held at the Boya International Hotel of Peking University, where “The First China Brand Value Top 100”was also launched to the public.

Professor Dong Zhiyong, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Economics of Peking University, Professor Ping Xinqiao, Chairman of the Academic Committee of School of Economics of Peking University, Professor Zhang Hui, vice president of School of Economics of Peking University, Professor Wang Yuesheng, Director of the Department of International Economics and Trade of School of Economics of Peking University, Professor Zhou Qingfu, President of the Central School of Cultural Management Cadres, and Mr. Chen Guoqing, Secretary of the Party Committee of China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd., have given speeches on the 2018 brand value macroeconomic situation under the internet era, One Belt One Road initiative, overseas M & A and brand creation, new requirements for brand culture construction in the new era. Meantime, a wonderful speech on Chang Jiang Electric Power - on the perspective of becoming a leader in the world hydro power industry.

The announcement of the "Evaluation Standard" and the "2018 China Brand Value Top 100”" were presided over by Ms. Song Jinhong, Secretary General of the research group of Peking University's China Brand Value Evaluation Research Platform and Beijing Branch of Shenzhen Daguan Advertising Co., Ltd.

Ms. Song Jinhong briefly introduced the standard system of Chinese brand value evaluation of Peking University. After nearly three years of research, analysis, demonstration and research, the research group of "Peking University China brand value evaluation research platform" of School of economics of Peking University has formed the initial achievements of the subject of "Peking University China brand value evaluation standard" which has established a relatively complete comprehensive index system based on more than 80 indicators of 34 categories and elements in seven dimensions, namely, brand leadership, product and service quality, innovation ability, legal rights and interests, brand construction, social responsibility and financial performance. It pays attention to the operation law, status and future development trend of the brand system, and further contributes to the formation, survival and development of enterprise brand value Conduct careful and comprehensive comprehensive evaluation on brand revenue, brand strength and other aspects.

According to this standard, the research group invited more than 100 experts, scholars and enterprise executives to select the candidate brands with open financial data, and made a fair, just and objective value evaluation on many Chinese brands, so as to rank the "The First China Brand Value Top 100".

For this year’s ranking, it scientifically reflects the current situation, development trend and brand influence of brand values in various industries and regions, and provides relatively objective decision-making basis for government agencies, market investors and brand operators. In the future, the research group will release the list of China's top 100 brand values annually and the industry list at the same time, so as to stick to the cause of China's brand value evaluation.

Representatives of Tencent Holdings Co., Ltd., China Unicom Co., Ltd., China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd., China Railway Construction Co., Ltd., China International Travel Service Co., Ltd. and other top 100 enterprises attended the event and accepted the awards from the event organizing committee.

Li Pingjia, a famous calligrapher, presented "Chinese Brand" for the event.

More than 100 economists, brand experts, leaders of relevant departments, representatives of award-winning enterprises and journalists from domestic universities and scientific research institutions attended the meeting.
