Tesla Recalls Nearly 1.1 million Vehicles in the U.S. Because the Windows Can Pinch Fingers

On September 22nd 2022, Tesla, the electric car company, is recalling 1.1 million vehicles in the U.S. because the windows can pinch fingers. According to the documents posted on this past Thursday, the reason for this safety issue is that the automatic window reversal system may not react appropriately in case of emergency. The good news is that this safety issue can be fixed by updating an online software.

The recall covers certain 2017 to 2022 Model 3 sedans, some 2020 and 2021 Model Y SUVs, some Model S sedans and Model X SUVs from 2021 and 2022.

 

This is not the first time Tesla recalls its vehicles. In December, 2021, Tesla recalled more than more than 475,000 of its Model 3 and Model S electric cars in the U.S. over safety issues.

On the ranking of “The 2nd Daguan·Keweiwei World Brand Value Top 900 ” released on January 13, 2022, Tesla’s brand value was 313.253 billlion RMB, ranking the 73rd.
