MEIZU, short for the smartphone manufacturer Meizu Technology Co., Ltd., was established in March 2003. It is a well-known smart phone manufacturer at home and abroad, headquartered in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China. The company is committed to providing consumers with world-class performance and quality of electronic products, and based on the middle high-end market.

Founder

Huang Zhang, real name Huang XiuZhang, founded Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. at the end of 2002 and was desingnated as the CEO.

Creativity

The first domestic capacitive touch phone, the first customized mobile phone system made in China. MEIZU M8, MEIZU's first mobile phone, opened the era of domestic capacitive touch mobile phones with large screens. It waved farewell to the rough assembly work of domestic mobile phones and garbage MTK integrated system at that time. The customized WIN CE system it employed was the predecessor of the Flyme system.From the very beginning of the production, MEIZU deeply explored the consumers’ daily habits of using mobile phones, and made bold innovations which brought us many excellent designs. For example, the waist home button, mBack, small circle, narrow border, etc. For years MEIZU has indeed brought us a lot of excellent software and hardware design.

Brand Strategy

MEIZU spent more resources to build high-end brand, following the second adjustment after the restructuring in June 2017. Huang Zhang still directly manages various business divisions of the company assised by the company's president/COO Bai Yongxiang and CFO Qi Weimin. In addition to the original MEIZU, Charm Blue, and Flyme divisions, the other three lower-level businesses were upgraded to division level, including the upgrade of the Overseas Marketing Department to the Overseas Business Division and the E-commerce Business Department to the E-commerce Division. Furthermore, new Division of Parts is established.
